Study online at your own pace
With BibleMesh Biblical Languages, you are able to set your own pace, working according to your own timetable. Since our courses are online, you can study whenever you want. To make the most of our courses, however, we do encourage you to apply yourself consistently and regularly to your studies. If you were to dedicate one hour per day to your study, we anticipate that you could finish our Level 1 course in Greek or Hebrew in five to six months. Which means that you will be able to read fluently and confidently the first three chapters of John or Jonah 1, 3-4 and Ruth with just a few months of study in your spare time. Our reading courses are carefully designed both for the new student and those seeking a refresher course in biblical languages. Michael McClenahan (Executive Director) is an Irish Presbyterian minister and has degrees in Jurisprudence, Theology, and, Ecclesiastical History from the University of Oxford. He teaches theology for the Cornhill Training Course in Belfast. He is the author of Jonathan Edwards and Justification by Faith (Ashgate, 2012).
Timothy Edwards (Hebrew Editor) is the Fellow of Theology at New St. Andrews College. He also taught Hebrew at the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies and has lectured at the University of Oxford, University of Bristol, and various Bible schools in central Europe. He completed his graduate studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Oxford. He is the author of Exegesis in the Targum of Psalms (Gorgias Press, 2007) among other publications.
Nicholas Reid (Associate Editor, Hebrew) is professor of Old Testament at Reformation Bible College. He earned his DPhil in Oriental Studies (Cuneiform) from the University of Oxford (University College). He has also achieved Masters Degrees from the University of Oxford (Wolfson College), University of Aberdeen, and Reformed Theological Seminary. Before coming to Reformation Bible College, Nicholas was a Visiting Research Scholar at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, New York University.
Nicholas Ellis (Greek Editor) is a Visiting Research Scholar at Duke University. He worked previously as the College Lecturer of Biblical and Hellenistic Greek at Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford since 2009, where he completed his doctorate in Theology (New Testament). With an academic background in biblical studies, Jewish studies, and New Testament studies, Nicholas provides the team with excellent classroom experience and a background in linguistic, theological, and historical research.
Mark Dubis (Associate Editor, Greek) is Professor of Biblical Studies at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. He has a passion for ancient languages, having taught Greek, Hebrew, and Latin. He also has a special concern for the global needs of Bible translation. He is the author of 1 Peter: A Handbook on the Greek Text among other publications. Mark provides a high-level understanding of both linguistic and exegetical principles and, from his years in the classroom, he knows how to make student learning enjoyable and effective.
Michael Aubrey is a professional linguist with a background in both biblical studies and linguistics. He has a degree in bible and biblical languages from Moody Bible Institute and did graduate work in general linguistics and at the Canada Institute of Linguistics at Trinity Western University. Michael’s unique background in both general and applied linguistics and biblical Greek helps BibleMesh bridge the gap between the traditional approaches to Greek and cutting edge linguistic method.

A learning track is a series of courses that all relate to a specific topic. These tracks offer an opportunity for you to pursue a more comprehensive program of study than a single course would provide. Each course within a track typically builds on the prior course so that you are progressively gaining mastery of a specific area of study.
